New Artsy Paper Prints and Design for Arts and Crafts

Hello lovelies,

I have been absent for a while but not because I stopped blogging - I am working on a new, fresh, better blog called NeverMind! I am very excited about it and am inviting you great readers to check it out. It is a very versatille blog about arts & crafts, motivation, beauty, fashion, health, lifestyle and much more.

In adition to NeverMind, we have also opened an ETSY SHOP called ShopNeverMind (such a creative name, I know :P). And we are very thankfull to all the awesome people who have been visiting our shop and checking out our shop. We just love it when you come by :)

Here are some cool stuff you can get in our shop - and make yourself or others a great scrapbooking album, memories table, cute notebooks and SO MUCH MORE :) There is no limit to what you can do, really.

My favourite thing to do is cut this cute patterns into shapes and frame them so that my picture wall looks even better with a few cool prints hanging there and not just family pictures.

Old to New - A Polka Dot Remodel

Greetings,

In the attic of my mother´s house there are a lot of hidden treasures, especially since we have been moving stuff up there since I can remember. Al of the old stuff, my childhood memories, clothes, books and toys, it is all up there. But not in a hoarding kind of way. We did throw away all of the useless stuff and gave away everything that others can benefit from. But there is still a lot of clutter left. My mother and I, we are different that way - I throw away everything I don´t have a use for, she keeps it all in case if someone would need it someday. 

For a few years now I have been restoring and refinishing old furniture and giving it a new, great look. I really do love doing this and am so glad if someone asks me for ideas, help or general advice. In every piece of old furniture I always picture their full potencial in a new, awesome design. This idea was my mothers though, she wanted yelow and she wanted polka dots.

Handmade Scrapbook Albums

I know a lot of crafty people and they keep me motivated with their awesome projects and ideas. I am very excited about this project - my sisters´ handmade scrapbook albums. They are really well made and very pretty! Don´t you just love them? A nice way to keep your special memories for years to come.

If you buy pretty paper cartons like she did, I guess it could be a bit of a costly project, but no more expensive then any other technique. Also, it is still cheaper and prettier if you do it yourself then buy one. I love that you can personalise the theme of the album for each person or occasion separately. You can make a baby photo album, Christmas photo album, wedding, birthday, etc.

Special Christmas Gifts for Everyone in Your Life!

December is right around the corner and I am already making plans for my favourite holidays of the year.  I am already brainstorming for the perfect gifts for my loved ones. My friends have been asking me to draw them a something  for years now and I always said I will, when I won´t be so busy. This year I decided to make each of them their own special drawing and framing it for their Christmas present. For months I have been looking for signs what kind of wall art would they like to have in their homes and I have picked out the perfect motive for all of them.  Well, one of them e-mailed me an exact drawing she would love to have and I am making a replica of that drawing. She also added  few extra motives, which they all like so I decided to go with that. I think this will be an original way to make them happy and it will not cost me anything except for my time. Since I love making art, this will not be a problem for me. I am having fun while doing it.

So here is the exact plan for my personalised gifts.

1. Draw, draw and draw and make it look awesome!
2. Use watercolours to finish the painting.
3. Write something special about each of them above the painting and sign your name underneath.
4. Frame them.
5. Wrap your gifts and wait for the Holidays to come!

You can make these kind of gifts for everyone – include something special, add a note and frame it! I made a special gift list with ideas on what to frame for every special person in you life.  I hope you will find something you will like!

I am so excited to announce:

My shop on ETSY is finally opened!

I have planned to make this happen for a long time now and I finally made time to do so. I have always gifted my art to family and friends but now I finally decided to open my own little "hobby" shop. I will work on adding new items to my shop every day from now on and having a lot of fun in the process. Who know what else I will make - I have a ton of ideas and so much inspiration it is not even funny. :)

Drawing Rudy From The Basketeers

Hello-(ween) to You All!

We have his little 6-year old brother staying with us, because school´s are out this week here. I was looking forward for him to be here and now we are having a ton of fun reading books, playing games, watching cartoons, eating sweets, and much more. His little adorable face can get away with almost anything – that is also why our meals have been moved in front of the TV or computer screens. Don´t get me wrong, I enjoy watching a good movie while eating dinner and we do that often, but I kind of hoped that we would be eating at the table this week, for the kid – but it is not gonna happen. He loves it here, though. It is not my job to be super strict, I am not the parent. Aren´t siblings suposed to have fun together and not follow all the rules? 

Today we (he) decided to draw a character from his favourite cartoon (animation?) The Basketeers, Rudy. He loves it so much he even considered changing his name to Rudy. But we like his name so much moooore: Aleks (read: Alex). :

We used a:

• blank B1 paper sheet
• pencils
• eraser
• colored pencils
• pencil sharpener

We looked up a picture of Rudy and used it as an example, but we had to make a few minor changes to the design, because the dimenzions of the paper sheet weren´t right. Well that is not exactly true, I wasn´t being carefull when drawing and Rudy´s head was finished, there was no place for his hand to be on the same place as it is in the picture. Here is what we created.

Little Prince Painting

Greetings,

I had a great weekend, with a lot of sun, a little party with my family for my birthday and a few drinks with my friends. :) I am going to post a few photos of my cake and presents during the week, but for now I wanted to share one of my paintings with you guys. One of my friends chose this design of The Little Prince and I am finally finishing this gift for her. I hope you like it, even though it is still in the process of making.
